Even though all of these are just examples, they are such graphic displays of pathos. The sites often have generally pleasant flash animated introduction screens, often with photos of either the bride and groom floating toward each other or generic bride and groom sillhuettes.
God, this is grim.

Okay, so we are going to need help of some of the class to pose as models for the photos on this site and, possibly, to help write some of the comments. Michelle and I are, at this time (thursday 6:30) still researching example sites, but the basic idea and format follows:

3 The Proposal
3.1 Clearly dishonest story, written by the best man and maid of honor about how each learned of the proposal followed by the bride and grooms’ description of the event. The bride’s photo will make clear that she is quite pregnant, however this will not be mentioned anywhere in the website.
4 Registration
4.1 List of stores and websites where bride and groom are registered – some of which imply that they are scary, disturbing people
5 Bulletin board
5.1 Lists of congratulations and occasional anonymous pleas not to get married from people claiming to be in love with either the bride or groom.
